This was my first time ever on a cruise, I had the BEST time! I spent a lot of time researching the cruise line and reading the reviews of the Inspiration. I have to say there are a lot of mixed reviews out there. I went into the cruise ship with an open mind and ready to have my own opinion of it. I thought it was great. It may be an older cruise ship but I didn't let that stop me from having fun.
Food - We had dinner every night in the Carnival Dining Room at 6pm, it was great. The best part was our server SARI, she was WONDERFUL! All the other crew that worked her section with her were just as wonderful as well. The food was great, although the portions are small, its doesn't matter because you can order as much as you want. I wont lie, we all ordered TONS of servings, pretty much one of everything and we shared it all. They even brought my husband and I a heart shaped chocolate cake with candles that said :Happy Anniversary" for us. Guys Burgers, AH-MAZING, the deli was okay, I didn't care for it as much, wish they would add a BLT to that deli menu. We made it to the open buffet only once for breakfast on the last day, it was great. Its the dining room with the weird purple tubes, LOL We never ordered room service so I cant tell you how that was.
Drinks - I had a lot of the fruity drinks, a few Cran and Vodkas, they were all great. Our bartenders in the main lobby, Wi and Gerard, were absolutely the BEST!! We have made some life long friends with those 2. They remember our number for our drinks, gave us water when we asked, we got to know them on a personal level. If you have the time while you're having a drink I highly recommend you get to know these two. They were the best! We spent a lot of time in the main lobby bar because of them!
We rented a golf cart and drove around exploring the island.
