We wanted to see as part of the US we had not visited before--the Northwest--and we thought seeing it by river would be different and fun. We also wanted a small cruise for our first cruise, and this 150-maximum person cruise seemed right for us. We also liked the idea of having a theme (following the path of Lewis and Clark) and of having a historian/lecturer on board.
The historian was terrific--funny, informative, entertaining and engaging. He helped put everything we were seeing in context. The excursions, which were almost all included in the overall price, were uniformly interesting and fun.
Dining was excellent. Three delicious, chef-prepared meals using local ingredients. It was like eating every meal at a fine restaurant.
Roomy, with a balcony. Very spacious and comfortable.
