Best entertainment we have ever had on a cruise. No one act made the shows, but Duo Nika was the best of the best.
Food was pretty good, but getting into the restaurant was a nightmare. Took 30-45 minutes to get into the Azara and Tsars restaurants. There were plenty of seats, but the lone person taking/scanning cards had to also answer the phone and take phone reservations. Once seated, the majority of the wait staff was very new to the ship ... single weeks on board. We usually see waiters with waiters in training helping. On a recent Princes cruise, the head waiter, Gabriel, would often bring out food/clear plates to help his staff. None of that on NCL Jade! We found good waiters, but they had no dedicated help. "the floater helpers" would dig through a pile of food items, often covers slid off into food, and we would get something. Not always the right meal, but it was food. This did not bother me, but several people complained that no on would come by with black pepper or cheese to freshly grind for the meal. We had a pepper grinder on table, but no Parmesan cheese. The head waiter in Azara seemed more interested in talking to fellow Goa India countryman and not on customer service. When there were problems he did not get his hands dirty, but would call for someone to address.
Meal portions, selection, quality, and flavor was excellent. We had the occasional tough beef or flavorless chicken, but that was mostly in the buffet.
Small and noisy. Noise not from usual culprits like elevator, kitchen, etc. Noise was through walls/doors of other guests.
We had glass with water in our bathroom ... like someone else drank from it and it was never cleaned. We also had blood on the sheets. We were missing a towel. I could not find our room steward, but one of the other room stewards took care of our problems. I saw our room steward 3 or 4 times, but he never told us his name.
