Norwegian Bliss Cruise Review by WendyTillotson
- Sail Date: August 2018
- Destination: Alaska
- Cabin Type: Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom
The cabin was well appointed - lots of well thought out storage. The staff visited the cabins twice a day to ensure everything was in order.
Some food concerns, although most was very good. All the food had way too much salt.
Went to a few of the specialty restaurants. In Cagney's the lobster bisque was bad tomato soup with two tough pieces of lobster. In Teppanyaki, the scallops were inedible rubber and the chef didn't even register that nobody ate them nor did he offer anything else.
The Garden Buffet was lovely - lots of choices and had late night snacks.
There was not enough time in most of the ports to see the town if you also did excursions.
Bingo was fun but way overpriced. Was difficult to get into some of the entertainment.
Way too much focus on selling stuff on board and in ports.

Mendenhall GlacierMendenhall Glacier was awesome. The exhibit was nice. Didn't have enough time there.View All 875 Mendenhall Glacier Reviews
Whale WatchingWhale watching was a bit of a letdown as all we saw was a little bit of the whales backs and a tail here and there. Would have preferred more time at the Mendenhall Glacier.View All 821 Whale Watching Reviews
Rainforest HikeThis was rated as an easy walk....not true. Was a lot of up and down. We were lucky and it wasn't raining.View All 94 Rainforest Hike Reviews
