We chose this cruise because it coincided with a trip to Port Orange, Fl to see family. The dates were right and we like driving and parking at the ports in Florida. Parking is a little pricey at $85.00 for the 4 day cruise, however we were in our room 27 minutes from parking the car and when we returned we were from our room to our car with luggage in 16 minutes. If you park off site you have to wait for shuttles and deal with possibly a dusty, dirty car and as I have read may take over an hour.
Dining on the ship was pretty average. We did not eat in the MDR as we don't care for the length of time it sometimes takes and if I have to put on pants and a collared shirt, I want STEAK. We ate breakfast and lunch at Cagney's every day. Pretty quick service and quiet most of the time. They will accomodate just about anything you want that is not on the menu. One Dinner at Cagney's was very nice and the service very good. However for being the fancy steakhouse it is quite plain in decor. The garden market is acceptable food after you get over the shock of the layout. Half inside and half on the aft deck of deck 11. If you come into it from the aft set of elevators it is not as chaotic. Coming from the pool area it's just BAM there normally very crowded. We ate at the Mexican place on deck 12 the last night, seemed to be all fresh made and was pretty good.
Did not go to any of the shows
This cabin is a very nice suite at the bow of the ship, right under the bridge. The cabin is good sized and has all the amenities you would expect from an expensive suite cabin. The main room has a very comfortable king-size bed (even though the description says queen) and one comfortable chair and kind of a couch without arms. In addition it has a table and two chairs for dining which we did use a couple of times. It also has a combination chest of drawers, writing area, storage area for beverages, coffee and ice area and a nice cabinet with glasses and cups (See Pictures). The TV is probably 40" and has two movie channels (New Movies and current movies) , American news channels, PBS and NatGeo.. The Bathroom is quite stunning with all the wood (see pics) and a large bathtub, a separate shower and toilet area. Dressing area, closet and safe and more drawer space. We were very pleased. Not quite as big as a Neptune Suite on HAL or a Grand Suite on RCCL but very comfortable. The balcony was about 100 sqft with two recliners and two chairs and a table. Even though it was up front it was not extremely windy during the sea days. and with the overhang from the bridge it was shady an appropriate amount of time.
