The Oasis of the Seas is an unbelievable ship. We booked this cruise because we weren't really interested in getting off in the ports. With the Oasis you really dont have to. It is truly a resort that floats. Embarkation from taxi to the Grand Promenade for our group of three took about 15 minutes. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Once aboard you realize that it will take some time to figure this boat out. There was no problem, because the interactive displays stationed about gave directions to your room or any other venue on the ship. It even told you what was happening now or later on in the day. There are plenty of elevators so wait times seemed almost non existing. The food in the main dining room seemed to be a little better than what we have had on our past RCI cruises. The food in all the other free restaurants was very good also. Make sure you try the roast beef sandwich in the Central Park cafe, its slammin. The solarium healthy choice food was pretty good but then you go and have a couple of deserts so whats the point. One week is not enough time to try all the restaurants. there are too many of them. This was the first cruise where you don't automatically graze over to the windjammer and there really is no reason to. The highlight of the cruise is truly the entertainment. RCI has really raised the bar. The skaters in the ice show were terrific. The show in the Aqua theatre at night was unbelievable. These were truly world class athletes. Come fly with Me in the main theatre was very thrilling. We made all our reservations on line beforehand and it worked out very well. We did see a lot of people waiting to go in without reservations. I would recommend everyone do this since the shows can sell out and there might be no seats left. Book your Aqua Theatre show for night and as early in the week as possible because it was cancelled twice because of rough weather on our sailing. This way you get a second chance to see it. You can also make reservations in your room also. We had a Central Park balcony which was nice but the only time you can see the park is when you stand up and look over the railing, otherwise all you see is the rooms across the way. Next time ocean view. One more thing , the Cruise Director is over the top. The show he put on during seventies nite was hilarious. The man has a lot of energy and so do his staff. All in all it was a wonderful week.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

Cabin was very tight. Soap dish in shower is a joke as everything falls thru to the shower floor. Do yourself a favor and fold a washcloth on top of it. One electric outlet in room and it is somewhat hidden under the counter by the mirror. A little tough to get to. Bed very comfortable. Room spotless
