Background and Travel to Port

We are two young seniors who were looking forward to enjoying our 12th cruise with NCL. We live on the southern coast of Virginia, a region that rarely gets snow (ahem!!); however, to be on the safe side, our plan was to fly down to Miami the day before the cruise (Jan 30).

January 30, 2010, will now go down in history in Tidewater Virginia as having received the largest snowfall in over 20 years. After 4 flight cancelation notices, we looked into the bus or train, but they were not running either. Driving our car south to get on I-95 was out of the question due to the storm band. By 5pm, we called our insurance company (folks - get the trip insurance!!) and began steps to cancel our cruise.

Cabin BB

Cabin 10642 is a handicapped cabin which is very well equipped. Even though it is located near the elevators/stairs, it was very quiet.
