Avalon Impression Cruise Review by opwillis
- Sail Date: July 2018
- Destination: Europe
- Cabin Type: Panorama Suite with French Balcony
There were a variety of lectures and nightly entertainment by local artists from the villages we visited. It was interesting to see them get on and off the ship at the locks we went through; 68 locks in all!
The food was amazing! It was locally sourced and the lunch and dinner menus featured local dishes of the towns we were visiting that day.
All the staff were so gracious and personable and it was fun getting to know them.
I can't wait to book another river cruise on Avalon; especially if it is as great a trip as this one was!

Canal TourIt was a fun day with the canal tour in the morning and the Zaanse Schans Windmill tour in the afternoon. It did not leave time for independent sight-seeing.View All 262 Canal Tour Reviews

Durnstein (Krems)This was an excellent lecture and I learned more about the spice than I did when I was in the middle east. This was definitely a good experience.View All 12,794 Durnstein (Krems) Cruise Port Reviews
We also visited Melk and went on a tour of the Abbey which was magnificent. The walk thought the town on our own afterwards was delightful.
