AVOID THIS CRUISE AT ALL COSTS!!! Especially if you are a seasoned cruiser. I have been on six prior cruises (Royal Caribbean and one Carnival). This was my first experience with Norwegian and I was very disappointed. The food was TERRIBLE. And the service in the Skyline dining room was awful. It took two hours for my family of five to eat dinner. The waiters were not personable and did not try to get to know us or interact with us. Most of the workers were rude or simply seemed annoyed to do simple tasks. The entertainment was lacking and the comedian was mediocre at best. Hawaii itself was beautiful and the cruise was a great way for us first timers to get to see a lot of the islands, but the lack of good food and service made the price tag on this cruise definitely not worth it. It was obvious that most of the workes hated their jobs, and I heard from several workers that there is a high turnover rate. There unhappiness was very obvious. Now, I will say the bar staff was great! They were the only ones who made our time on the ship worthwhile. They took the time to remember our names and were always friendly. I love cruising Royal Caribbean and the food is always good. I am hoping other Norwegian cruises have their act together, but this cruise has deterred me from ever wanting to book another Norwegian cruise. This ship does not make America proud!
The cabin was nice with a large balcony.
