After reading so many bad reviews for MSC Magnifica we very nearly cancelled our booking as we had never cruised with MSC before but we decided to make our own minds up and go ahead with the cruise dispite the reviews!!

We have previously sailed with Pand O many times Celebrity,Disney,Cunard and Carnival so we have tried many cruise lines before so we embarked in Southampton which is ideal as we only live in Winchester. We were told to get there at about 4pm but we arrived in Southampton at 2.45 and got on board ship straight away our luggage was taken from us at taxi rank including hanging bags which P and O do not take so we were pleasantly surprised.

This is the bit we found slightly confusing as you enter the ship areas are roped off to welcome you onboard Many staff were in line to say hello and welcome but at the end of the line in the Tiger bar that’s it and we were like oh what do we do now ? After asking we were told to register our cards which you will find In Your cabin which is unlocked for you to enter ! So we got our cards registered on the machine we found this ok but quite a few elderly people were slightly confused and no one around to ask .
