This was to be a very special trip for my husband and myself and was ruined by the following:

Flights to Munich airport were the cheapest tickets available, no seats had been reserved, therefore we had to purchase our seats via the airline so that we could sit together. On arrival at Munich we were told we would have to wait for other passengers to arrive from various flights before we could be taken to our ship, this resulted in a THREE hour wait at the airport before our bus could leave. We were told we would not be going to Nuremburg as there was some issue, so were then taken by bus to a town further down the river, thus resulting in us missing the first section of our cruise. Our ship did not sail again until late afternoon on day THREE.

The ship has one public room which holds the lounge/ bar and river café, One main dining hall which is like a staff canteen and very regimented, everyone is expected to eat each night at 7pm sharp, the 'open dining' only means that you can sit anywhere there are seats available. Table Larive is NOT a restaurant, but a long table at the back of the main restaurant, hosting 10 - 12 guests. Potobellos Restaurant is supposed to be Italian, but do not expect Italian food, and the menu is the same each night. The gift shop is a display cabinet at reception. The wellness centre is a very small room with one sink to wash hair with one hairdresser. The massager has the room next door which is only big enough for a table and little else. Read more
