We enjoyed our Alaska cruise, but were disappointed that little things added up to such frustration with Celebrity. The cabin was surprisingly roomy, but the temperature control there didn't work, and there were only 2 power outlets (seriously? this is 2018 after all). Also, the WiFi service which I purchased was spotty at best; it only worked in common areas, not in my room, and it didn't always work in common areas. We never opened the minibar but were charged for a few items. Entertainment was inadequate. Performers did only a few 45 minute sets at various venues on the ship. The Rendezvous Lounge often had no entertainment at all in evening hours. We bought a beverage package but found out on the ship that it didn't include room service. The service in the dining room was excellent, but the food was uninspired. This ship has no movie theater; only for fee movies in your room.

I get that I didn't buy one of the expensive rooms, but I've cruised before and never before felt that I was cruising in "steerage."

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom 9

Cabin 09

We chose an inexpensive cabin so that we might spend our money on other things. Although it is only 170 square feet, there was a surprising amount of storage space. Unfortunately, the bathroom door squealed loudly every time it was used. My biggest pet peeve is that this is 2018. Why are there only 2 power outlets in the room? Also, the WiFi that I purchased did not work in stateroom, only in common areas (and not well there). Also, the room was either freezing cold or way too hot.

Icy Strait

I'm not munch for adventure time excursions, but I loved the fresh crab for lunch.
