This cruise was chosen for the price and the expected sun. As we had visited each port before except 1 it was an excuse to not do much. Embarkation and disembarkation in Southampton was very easy and smooth. Getting on our bags were taken from our car and severed to us quickly and getting off our bags were collected the night before, w left at our allocated time and bags were easy to find and exit quickly.
The ship is clean, tidy and lots of things to do. The Helipad is a fab place to watch leaving and e tearing ports, the main restaurant is a must for breakfast, lunch and dinner on sea days as you don't have to fight for a table which can happen in the buffet restauran. The headliner entertainment was fantastic, but the onboard singer and dancers just had something missing that we couldn't put our fingers on. If you fancy doing the flow rider do it the day you get on as there won't be any cues.
Booking tours through the ship came out expensive, however you were guaranteed getting back on the ship if you were held up.
Our cabin was a nice size, tea facilities, fridge, dressing table/desk, hair dryer, TV, good sized wardrobes and shelves and good ensuite.
The room in an internal room with a large window that over looks the promenade. This has its pros and cons.
Pros - it's on the quieter end of the street above the jewellery store. You get a good view of what specials the shops have out. The room is well places closes to the restaurant and lifts.
Cons- it can be noisy and especially on days when entertainment is happening in the promenade. Each night you will hear the jewellery store bringing in their display boxes. Normally all is quiet by 11. This can be later if any entertainment is happing in the street.
Overall a nice room centrally located. Just if you are an early bird not the best room for a quiet early bed time.
Easy getting on and off, helpful staff.
We did a taxi tour, fantastic guide with local knowledge.
Easy walking distance, love
