We stayed in Houston Sat night and then drove the 45 mins to Galveston on Sun morning. From recommendations here, we used EZ Cruise Parking which was fine. The pier in Galveston is a little challenging, not great directions, not maintained well for cruise passengers. But it worked fine.
Embarkation was smooth even though we were there very early. No lines, only waited 20 mins or so before we could get on the ship.
This was my husband & my 3rd time on a Voyager class ship so it felt like home. Inside cabin was per usual. Only difference was our room could be connected so no love seat only chair. Not a big deal. Stateroom attendant Otto was great.
