We chose this cruise because it left from Boston and we could avoid flying. From the moment we boarded the ship, it was one disappointment after another. There were 3 of us in one cabin and when we booked, we were told the cabin had two twin beds and a pull out couch. There was no pull out couch, but a trundle under one of the twin beds. When we complained, we were told there was nothing they could do. The steward pulled out the trundle and we ended up sleeping side by side in 3 twin beds with no room on either side so we had to climb into bed on our hands and knees from the foot of the bed. We are senior citizens, 73-75 years old. Just picture it.
The food was mediocre at best. People spoke highly of the Bamboo Restaurant, however we were never able to get it as they were totally booked from Day 1. The seafood they offered was very unusual, no cod, haddock or scallops, but rather fish like hake, perch, etc.
The soups were not more than broth with a few veggies floating around.
The cabin was very small and especially the bathroom. All in all, very uncomfortable.
