We'd been wanting to cruise the Rhine visiting different countries. We've done about 30 ocean cruises so it was time to do a river cruise and Viking came well recommended. The tours were all we expected and they even offer slower paced tours for those with walking issues. You see the same sites, just at a slower pace. Our favorite was the tour of Ehrenbrutstein fortress in Koblenz. Our guide was a Shakesperian actor who was such fun as well as informative.(This was an extra tour but don't miss it, a cablecar ride is included) .The ship and staff were excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the captain to room steward. The food was wonderful. We met many very nice fellow travelers. The pre and post tours were also enjoyable with knowledgeable guides. Hotel transfers were well organized. The view from our room at the Movik of the river in Amsterdam was beautiful. And because it's next to the cruise terminal, you can sometimes have a cruise ship right outside your window. How cool is that?
