Cabin: Interior with Virtual Balcony

Cruised with 3 friends, check in was easy. 2 interior staterooms with awesome virtual balcony. Room only has 2 power outlets and 2 USB charging slots near central vanity, none in the bathroom. Bring your own facial tissues or use TP. No grilled chicken, turkey or poultry cold cuts to be had. Mayonnaise and mayo-based salads were tasteless n nasty. Smoked salmon with capers had no flavor. Not even salty. Perfectly cooked MR prime rib was sent back because texture was spongy - frozen too long? Overall food was rather low brow compared to previous RC cruise 5yrs ago. Wait staff are not properly trained. Dinners were regularly interrupted by long announcements or entertainment. Main buffet dining layout is confusing, no flow. This all adds stress to what should be a respite. Boat layout has little open space, flow is not great. Solarium with more space and hot tubs offers retreat from children under 18, but the smell of chlorine is tough to take. App is useless for research and bookings. Always show up to “fully booked” activities/shows as cancellations abound. Onboard Activities were a blast! Staff were wonderful. Theatres and talent were top notch - Broadway worthy. Food service and bar staff are stressed, most service staff are stressed... they don’t get days off for months. Shore excursion to swim with dolphins was excellent. I don’t want to pay $12 every time I do yoga... nor do I want to pay for wi-Fi. Shopping is very limited and didn’t reflect demographic of clientele - choose between junk and Bvulgari. Calculation regarding drink package: one needs to consume more than 5 top shelf beverages a day to make the package worth the investment. Disembark took 3 hours passed the appointed time. I would not cruise on Anthem again because of layout. That said... we had a great time!

Cabin Review

Interior with Virtual Balcony

Cabin 2U

Virtual balcony was awesome. Bathroom was pristine and nicely appointed except for NO electric outlets in the bathroom. Cabin only has 2 outlets near bedroom vanity and 2 USB ports. No facial tissues provided, bring your own or use toilet paper. No pens or paper. Beds and pillows were clean and comfy. Towels too. Bathroom pristine and attractive, shower easy, abundant hot water. Good lighting.
