I had high expectations and they were exceeded. The staff was excellent and we felt absolutely pampered. The Viking staff made an extraordinary effort to learn all passengers names early on the voyage, creating a special atmosphere and a feeling of being a guest on their ship. Food and food service were very good and were of a very good variety. The cruise director was personable and did a great job of logistics and keeping everyone informed of daily activities. Our cabin was tended to three times daily by a member of the housekeeping staff. Shore excursions were all good, some guides better than others, but that is to be expected. None were substandard. My wife was hesitant about the cruise and she has rated it as best trip ever. I highly recommend this Viking cruise. We are currently planning another Viking cruise and am excited to embark on it.
