We just spent a wonderful week aboard the Escape to Bermuda. We were in suite 13706 and had access to the Haven. The Haven is a wonderful oasis when other areas of the ship were crowded during sea days. The Haven restaurant food was fantastic, other than speciality restaurants, we ate practically all of our meals there. Most of the shows were wonderful though the After Midnight show was a bit boring with a disjointed story line. However, I highly recommend the Brat Pack and the Levity comedy group. The specialty restaurants were good, especially the Bayamo restaurant which was excellent, Tepanyaki and Moderno were very good however Cagney's was a bit disappointing compared to our previous experiences with it. Bermuda is a wonderful port, we have been here several times. We generally buy the transportation pass to get to Horseshoe Bay and the Clearwater beach. However, now that NCL offers a free ferry to St.Georges you don't necessarily need to get a two day transit pass. Overall, the cruise was terrific and if you can afford the extra money I would highly recommend upgrading to the Haven. Only, drawback of the whole cruise was that in an effort to help the environment NCL has eliminated plastic straws on the ship which makes it a bit difficult to drink frozen drinks. I would imagine sometime in the near future they will provide paper straws but until then BYOS( bring your own straws).
Well appointed cabin with plenty of room. Balcony is a bit small but still nice. Bathroom is spacious and luxurious.
