The Roof of the World tour is a very good tour to see the wide expanse of China. You hit all the high points with a Yangtze cruise in between two land portions. Food was excellent with very good Chinese selections from each area as well as Western. But remember that this is a Chinese visit so don't expect Western fare at all meals by any means.

Yangtze cruise was good but not great. With the exception of the three gorges, the majority of the river is pretty boring. City visits are interesting but again not wonderful along the river.

The visit to the Great Wall and Xian (terra cotta soldiers) was very good. Tibet was unexpectedly great. Read more
