My wife and I started talking about a trip to Australia/New Zealand 43 years ago when we first married! Careers and 4 children delayed this trip for 43 years. The ship (Diamond Princess) was excellent and our experience on-board was very nice. We also purchased hotel transfers and extra days in Auckland and Sydney. The transfers were excellent and both hotels were 5 star. The ports, with the exception of Phillip Island, were great! We had excursions at each port and most were worth the price. The average cost per excursion was around $150-$200 per person. Fjordland National Park New Zealand was the most beautiful spot for photography with spectacular scenery. Melbourne, Australia was of favorite port because of the wonderful diversity in architecture and pristine countryside. The entire cruise/tour experience was fantastic and worth the 43 year wait. The only negative aspect of the trip was the air travel we attempted to book through Princess. Our air fare was part of the package until shortly before sailing when we were notified by Princess that the airfares previously quoted and paid were no longer available. This forced us to book air travel ourselves at twice the original price! I advice you to be careful when booking air fares through Princess. If you have the opportunity to travel to Australia/New Zealand, go, for sure!

Cabin Review

Just like always on Princess. Mini-suite.
