We went to Alaska and wanted a small, high quality cruise line. Silverseas did not disappoint. Service was impeccable. Ship was immaculate. Medallion suite was great. Excursions were fantastic. However, the decor and condition of the ship is tired and outdated. For the price we paid this was disappointing but not really surprising as we had read the reviews and seen the pictures. The butler was incredibly kind and accommodating. Anything we wanted or asked for was delivered in a timely manner. We had breakfast in our suite everyday and it was delicious and a relaxing way to start the day while enjoying the views out the windows. Excursions are a must to see the countryside and experience the wild beauty that is Alaska, Our favorites were the helicopter ride to the glacier, the whale watch, the fishing trip and the float plane. The towns along the way are small and touristy... Small and hokey shops but very nice people. The attractions are really seen during the excursions and while the ship is cruising. Would try Silverseas again, but only on a new ship.

Great cruise line but ship needs overhaul asap - TIRED
