Sail Date: Jul 2018
Cabin: Ocean View

We primarily sail with Royal Caribbean and decided on a Baltic itinerary, on Serenade of the Seas. We prefer to avoid the larger ships. We find them too impersonal and crowded.

We were very happy with the numbers of ports and time allowed in each. Fredericia Denmark is really fun. The locals come out to welcome the ship, and to wave goodbye (including a three cannon salute!

The entire staff: waiters, bar staff, cabin attendant, performers and cruise directors staff (even security) were friendly and really went out of their way to make the cruise enjoyable.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 3N

We were upgraded to a balcony with obstructed view. The cabin was typical and well maintained.

Port Reviews

Klaipeda

Visited on our own. Interestingly, the cruise offered a $28 per person tour to go to the beach. However, for 2 Euros, roundtrip, you can go to the beach on a ferry from the adjacent pier. Once there, you rent an umbrella and lounge chair for 6 Euros. The beach is a really nice, fine sand beach. There was snack and refreshment shop on the beach.

Aarhus

Nice city, very modern. Local department store has a fun 82 foot high rooftop extension that has a clear glass floor.
