We live in Houston and can't beat a port just 40 minutes away. Did same cruise 4 years ago on different Carnival ship. Embarkation and disembarkation was a breeze. Ship is in good shape, we always do a balcony room. Staff friendly and nice. Traveled with another couple and kids went on cruise too. Everyone had a great time. Just the quick 4 day end of Summer cruise to cap off the season. If want a great time at reasonable rate for end of summer, I recommend this cruise. The staff (our waiters) in the Dining Room were great and friendly. Our server and wait staff in the Steakhouse, where we dined two nights in a row were superb. Alan, the magician who walks around the dining room was awesome and very entertaining and the kids enjoyed being part of his tricks. The only problem was on the last sea day coming back, the pool area and parts of the ship had a heavy sewage odor, not sure what was going on but they seemed to get it under control.

We did the Fury Catamaran deluxe snorkel and beach excursion. Also the 2nd time doing this excursion with this company. Would highly recommend them. A great time and very professional.
