The ports are fine. Grand Turk is the best with Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville pool. Aruba had some beautiful beaches as does Curacao. Do not bother going to La Romano in the Dominican republic. It’s just as bad as Mexico, with the children begging and selling gum. Our balcony state room was fine, with our cabin steward Elmer, the best Stewart we’ve ever had. We are platinum cruisers, and were very very disappointed in the dining room. Our two waiters should not be waiters at all, as they constantly messed up orders and spilled food. Almost 2 hours on one service with 15 to 20 minute wait between appetizers, soup, salad, etc. The food was actually horrible, and two years ago the food on carnival was the best we’ve ever had. I don’t understand the discrepancies. On a brighter note, our cruise director, Chris Williams, the flying Scotsman, who is by far the most entertaining cruise director we have ever had and CARNIVAL

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

Balcony cabin was typical of a carnival cruise. Our cabin steward Elmer, was by far above and beyond any room steward we have ever had and CARNIVAL.

Grand Turk

Jimmy Buffett‘s Margaritaville is the place to go in Grand Turk
