We chose this particular cruise for the itinerary. What a great lineup of destinations. We also stayed an extra couple of days before the cruise in Rome and a couple of days after the cruise in Barcelona, all arranged thru Viking. Booking the trip was so easy - one call to Viking and the cruise, flights and hotels were all arranged by them. The ride was very smooth: you would not think you were on a ship at all. The cabin was large and very comfortable. The restaurants offered a great variety of cuisines and our meals were always delicious. All of the staff were warm, personable and helpful. My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of the trip immensely. Except for one thing; and Viking cannot be held responsible for that. It rained eleven of the thirteen days of our trip, which put a damper on some of our touring. That aside, Viking gets a ten of ten.
