My sister chose it and it was my first real cruise so everything was new and exciting. I particularly appreciated the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and the food was much better than I expected. Service in the restaurant was very good - on one occasion we told our waiters, LEO and VANISHA that we wanted to finIsh quickly to see a show and they served us at breakneck speed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Two people in the family had food issues and they were always well catered for.
The variety of dishes available at the Windjammer was excellent.
The activities I particularly enjoyed were the quizzes, theatre shows, the flag waving show on the last night and, last but not least, THE REGGAE BAND!
The cabin was small but cosy and clean, and the beds were particularly comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. Our room attendant ARY was extremely kind, courteous and helpful. Our room was always beautifully made up.
I enjoyed the turtles and the lagoon, but apart from that Argostoli was not a particularly interesting destination, the least interesting of the six.
I had been to Venice many times before and found it too hot and busy at this time of year, but enchanting nonetheless.
My famiy and I didn't take an organised excursion but negotiated a price with a taxi large enough to take the six of us. He showed us around the Montenegro highlights, leaving us time to look around in the various places as well as giving us a lot of information on the places and on his country in general in very good English.
A very pleasant day. We visited the old town and finished off the afternoon with a swim and relaxing on the beach.
We negotiated a price with two taxis which took us to the Acropolis and to various other sights in Athens. The drivers spoke very good English and filled us in with information on the various monuments. They were well-organised and efficient and we passed a very fruitful afternoon.
