We recently returned from a 4 night on the Carnival Fantasy. We have always done the bigger newer ships Freedom class and Dream class. This ship was commissioned in 1990 so it is older. There are no refrigerators in the room and we did an upper/lower stateroom and it wasn't bad. Shout out to Phillip the bartender, Jacky the drink server and Benjamin the cruise director. Of course service all over the ship was awesome. I had the most enjoyable night at Cats doing karaoke. . It was the smoothest ran karaoke I've seen period. I didnt catch his name running it nor did I catch the single guitarist name that was so great.
I would recommend trying the smaller ships.. I loved it.. so personable.. however, its older, smaller older not as many different types of things to do, but wow.
I would also say for those new to cruising, try a larger ship 1st. Four nights is really short too, but it fit perfectly in for us. We had great time at Cozumel and really wasn't expecting it, well, after we past the cab and vendors ect.. Sunset was right on the Gulf, small, personable, great snorkeling for me and good food and drink.. much less expensive than other alternatives and it was a short walk from the cruise ship

I miss the refrigerator though.. I would suggest that on the drydock.
