We wanted to try a cross ocean cruise and we loved our experience with Viking river cruises so we tried this one. We were not disappointed. The ship is lovely. The "culture" of the ship is similar to the river cruises in that people were friendly and easy to get to know.

Getting on board was easy and the crew was more than willing to help with information.

The Cabin had so much storage space that we didn't use it all! I tried the spa and found that the hot deep pools followed by the snow room took all the aches of travel away. Do try the snow room! I was timid but so glad I did. The spa is really lovely and totally free unless you want a treatment. As expected the food was excellent. We ate mostly in the dinning room for dinner and the specialty restaurants. The Chef's table was a delight! Such different plates and tastes-all beautifully prepared. Mamsens gave us a taste of Norway that surprised us by how much we enjoyed it. Especially the desserts! In the main dinning room here was always lively conversation at the tables. Of course if you want to eat with just your partner that is easily accomplished. Since we were going to be at sea for 6 days we opted for the premium package and were glad we did because the premium wines were carefully selected. The regular dinner wines were also good we just like to try different wines.

Cabin Review

quite large - lovely bed- lovely bathroom- loved the plugs that took our devices with no converters needed. very comfortable and very quiet. This level gives you an earlier chance to book shore excursions which we thought was a plus.
