This was our first Viking cruise but it won't be our last! The ship is beautiful, clean, well appointed and the entire staff is excellent. We traveled with another couple and met four more friends on the ship. We also met four more folks who became friends. The dinner staff in the main dining room and in the specialty restaurants graciously accommodated 12 of us at evening meals! We also enjoyed deciding when to dine since there were no assigned dining times. The beverage package was a good deal for us.
We also enjoyed the excursions and they were handled very smoothly. The included excursions were wonderful so we only purchased two.
Our stateroom was just as expected - and the view from the veranda was beautiful! The entertainment in the lounges in the afternoon was something we looked forward to hearing - especially the flute/string trio. We followed them from venue to venue. To hear their music while sipping a cocktail and looking out the wall of windows on deck 7 was awesome!
Cabin Review
The cabin was beautiful. We especially appreciated having electrical outlets on either side of the bed. The bed and linens were first-rate. Carla, our cabin steward was a jewel! The balcony was large enough for two chairs and a table. The bathroom was large enough to be comfortable and the shower was larger than expected. All in all, it was perfect.
