We chose the cruise firstly because of the itinerary and secondly on recommendation.
We had only cruised once before - on P&O Britannia to the norwegian fjords. Our interest in cruises is to go to places that we would be unlikely to go to any other way. So the Baltics was ideal with the highlight being St Petersburg.
Embarkation and disembarkation was great. We had stayed at Chilworth Manor the night before on a stay and park package. Very convenient - no issues about traffic delays. Taxi provided at the time booked and we were in our cabin within 30 minutes of leaving the hotel and the same on our return. Excellent value - not much more than paying for the parking.

Very clean. Our cabin was looked after very well. At the end of the lifeboats but only a slightly obstructed view and we didn't notice it after the first day. Plenty of room for two weeks. Cupboards over the bed a bit difficult to access if you are not very tall. Luckily still able to climb on the bed but this would prove difficult for less agile guests. Possibly the set up with the sitting area nearest the balcony would have been slightly better.
