We chose this cruise because we wanted a ship that would work for a 4 year old and a 1 1/2 year old. First off embarkation was complete chaos. Once we were on the ship we had to deal with the new type of elevators. I had to wait 40 minutes till I could get on an elevator. The only reason I didn't take the stairs is because I had a stroller. The buffet lunch and breakfast were terrible. We had just been on the Anthem of the Seas twice and their buffet was 100 times better. On the Horizon there was no variety at any of the stations they all had the same items. To get Pizza, Burritos, Deli or Hamburgers you had to wait at least a half hour in line. The food in the dining room was just OK with the escargot being the worst I have ever had. On the plus side we had a balcony cabin and it was nice enough and the room steward was great. But the long lines, fighting for seats on the deck and the horrible food buffets was enough for us to not recommend this ship. One more thing they say is that it is wonderful for families but then have no little splash place for someone who is not toilet trained. Even the Anthem had a delegated splash spot for a little one.
