First time to Ireland and looking forward to it. However, the trip was a mafor. disappointment on many fronts. The ports were very industrial and greatly took away from the experience. The food was ok, nothing special. The entertainment was the worst we have had on a RC cruise. Service was lacking and the team did not seem to have it together. Our Diamond attendant would barely acknowledge us. The dining waitstaff would bring us two courses at the same time. We always seemed rushed at dinner. Giovanni’s was lacking in anything special. Chop’s was the one bright spot. We had an issue where security showed up at our door at 11 pm at night with a body camera asking us to turn down our tv. Despite our tv being at normal volume, we had no problem with this request...but a kind phone call would have had the same impact versus a security guard whose first words were “I have a body camera”. Made us feel like criminals. The specialness that we have always felt on a RC cruise was not there on this trip. We also heard rumors of the Diamond benefits (specifically the Diamond lounges) going away. This would be a major negative impact on our future bookings. The people we have met in the diamond lounge would be the one thing to bring us back. We have been loyal RC cruisers but maybe it is time to try another line. Sorry for the negative comments but this cruise has been a disappointment.
