Because the ship left out of San Francisco so we did not need to fly as we live in the Bay Area. We took public transportation to the ship. This saved money. We also wanted to see Alaska as many of our friends said they really liked the Alaskan cruise and have gone on several Alaskan cruises.

Embarkation and debarkation went smoothly and that was really nice. We made sure to arrive early to get ahead of the crowds.

I enjoyed some of the game show type games during the day and on sea days. They had a Battle of the Sexes, Trivia, Pyramid and more.

The cabin was clean and the Lance did a great job keeping it in shape!! The ship overall is older so some parts of the ship looked a bit tired. But it was a good cruise.

There was some up-selling when I went to the spa for a massage. After the massage, the person who did the massage came back in the room and had a card with about $400 worth of product that she was recommending. Totally took away the relaxation of the massage. Because of that I cancelled my next massage.

Everything cost extra (internet, beverages, some exercise classes and more) so I ended up spending more than I expected. All excursions are extra (some cruise lines do offer a complimentary excursion along with the ones you pay for)
