We chose the MSC Seaview because my inlaws cruised with MSC 10 years ago, and wanted to try the new Seaview ship during its inaugural season. The Pros would be be: the ship was beautiful, all brand new. We had no issues with our embarkation and check in, very smooth and quick. Our bags arrived at our room within minutes of us, so we were able to quickly change and head to the pool. The food was amazing, so much selection, the service was great too. A few times the servers got confused with orders, but that was to be expected with a new ship, no big deal. The shows and entertainment were so much fun.
Cons if I have to think of a few, the rooms are very small. Especially for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children). Not enough closet space to unpack our clothes, so my husband and I lived out of our suitcases for a week. And let's not even talk about the size of the shower. We had a balcony, which alleviated the tightness of the cabin.
Also, on our At Sea days, the ship was extremely crowded. Not enough lounge chairs for the amount of guests. On port days, we could easily find somewhere to sit. But on the at sea day we ended up sitting on 2 chairs and taking turns in the pool. People would put a towel on their lounge chairs and leave for hours on end. The ship said they monitored the situation and would only allow people to leave for 30 minutes, but we never saw that happen.
