Our arrival and departure flights from Venice prevented us from exploring the city but we did see some amazing sights as the ship departed on day one.
RC have such a slick operation with someone there to guide you through every part of embarkation and disembarkation. Their enthusiasm, as with all staff is commendable.
The ship itself was smaller than our last cruise (Navigator) but that didn't detract from the huge variety of things to do. The daily ship's 'Compass' publication, which is delivered to your stateroom nightly, was always full of events and activities. If I had a negative comment on the ship itself would be that it felt slightly dated.
Slightly dated but has everything you need. En-suite shower room, two beds joined to form a kingsize double, dressing table, sofa, coffee table, TV, patio style door/wall onto balcony, air conditioning and Raffi the fantastic stateroom attendant!
We just took a tender into the port, had some drinks and food, swam in the sea and visited a local shopping centre. What a fantastic place. One of the families in our party tool the kayaking excursion and raved about it for days!
Walked to a local bus and went into the old town for some souvenir shopping. Amazing place, highly recommended.
Should have taken an excursion to a beach. We walked into town and it was jus so hot. The locals are very friendly and the place is beautiful. In fairness, it was still a great day and experience.
