On January 21 We left upstate South Carolina and headed for Ft Lauderdale, Fl. This was our 8th cruise 7th on Carnival second on the Miracle. It was our 35 wedding anniversary so we wanted to pick an itinerary that we had not been on before. We chose the Southern Caribbean. (St Kitts, St Lucia, St Marten. We had cruised the Carnival Miracle before and liked it so we chose it.

Our first night we drove to Savannah, GA and stayed in a Comfort Suites off Hwy 95 on ext 94. Got a coupon on line. Great choice! Three years old still in great shape. The staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast the usual!

On January 22 we drove to Ft Lauderdale there we stayed in a Fairfield Inn & Suites. Book this on Parksleepfly! Another great choice! It had just opened in October. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Our room was a two room suite with a king size bed two TVs. It was awesome! We found an italian place for dinner cant remember the name but it was very good!
