An absolutely wonderful cruise on the beautiful Sapphire Princess. The ship is in good shape after its recent dry dock. New beds are very comfortable. Food and service were great in both dining rooms and Horizon Court. Paul Burton was simply marvelous in Crooners. Shows in the main theatre were weak. Not up to current Princess standards. Jeff, our waiter in Sabatinis was one of the best waiters we have ever had on land or sea.

This was the second time we have done this itinerary. The first time was out of Dover, which made it possible to have more time in Bergen. The longer run to Southampton cut the visit to Bergen by several hours.

For those interested the most traveled were 3rd 552 days, 2nd 574 days and 1st 677 days. There were 187 Elite and 437 Platinum. There were hundreds of children onboard with it being the first week of British school vacation. I understand there were to be far more kids on the next cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BF

Balcony cabin underneath the bridge was fine, slightly obstructed. Balcony rail is steel, not glass in this area. That is a further obstruction to view. Cabin was in great shape. Balcony furniture needs some attention.
