This is our first time cruise and we really enjoyed it. We arrived at Ft. Lauderdale one day before and explored the city a little bit. It is beautiful along the beach area! Embarkation: The embarkation process was very smooth. Disembarkation was a little bit chaotic but we were off the ship by 9 anyway. Really nothing to complain. Cabin: We did a last minute upgrade to a balcony room on Lido deck, which is just amazing. We sometime just sit there and enjoy the sea and the wind blowing. However, if you are on a budget I would say a interior cabin is enough —— We were not in our room that much anyway, and you can always find a spot on the ship deck. Our steward was great! Always kept our room clean. Dining: As most of the review already said, the food was ok but we were not like impressed. We did actually enjoy the buffet but the main dining room was a little bit disappointing —— It felt like too much work but the food was not better than the buffet. The waiters were really good though. Also the burgers were great! Entertainment: We mainly went to all the night shows. They were all great! And we loved our cruise director Mat. We also watched two late-night movies on the deck. Service: All great. Nothing to complain. Port of Call: We did a snorkeling at Grand Turk. It was just amazing. You can see (and touch) a lot of fish! The crew were very accommodating for our first timers. The beach was also good but too much seaweed. Half Moon Cay was our favorite. White sand beach with clear, beautiful water. We went on horseback riding which was fun. Would do it again. The only problem was the tendering operation. It was just chaotic and people were not following the instructions given. We didn't like Nassau. We would probably like it if we went to the beach, we did the last minute "Nassau hopping tour" instead. It was not worth it. Basically it is $30 for a (overcrowded) small bus ride with 4 stops, and you can explore each destination for a while. It was still interesting to see some of the local stuff but we were definitely expecting more. Overall for our first timer cruiser we were definitely impressed by the view on the sea, the destinations (especially Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay), and the overall experience about being on a ship. We are already looking forward to doing it again the next year!
