We started our cruise tour in Fairbanks and traveled through Denali to Anchorage and to Whittier to Board the boat. Every step was well planned, organized and hassle free. Princess and ez air did wonderful carefree work for planning, stops, transfers, etc. Ship embarkation and disembarkation were fast and smooth. Balcony room a must! There are many excursions to choose from. Alaska is a tour to not skimp. The vistas are amazing and it’s important to take full advantage. We booked excursions through Princess and they made it so easy and care free. Princess hotels were very nice, although not in cities easily reached (except for Anchorage). The bed in our cabin was very comfortable and our steward was delightful. Entertainment was fun and family friendly. There is not a lot of shopping in ports other than many many jewelry stores. We felt many of the souvenirs were very similar at each stop. Over the counter medicine was hard to find and expensive, so be sure to bring headache, cold and cough medicine, etc with you.

The southbound land sea cruistour is amazing and highly recommended. It was a wonderful first Alaska adventure for us.
