We choose this particular cruise for the scenery and the ports, neither disappointed. From our beginning in Bergen to the end in London, Greenwich, this cruise will enchant and amaze. The beautiful Fjords, the quaint towns, the very friendly people, a sun that never quite sets, the windmill farm, seemingly growing out of the sea, and the history of the areas that are visited will leave you yearning for more. The ship is luxurious, with lots of space and public areas. Even though there were about 1000 guests on board, the ship never seemed crowded. There were always plenty of areas to sit and relax, and lots and lots of tall windows to look out at the scenery. The food was exceptional, served by attentive wait staff. I cannot say enough good things about our room stewards. They kept our room spotless, always greeted us with a smile, asked about our day, and always asked if there was anything we needed. The entertainment was average, some shows better than others, but that is just my opinion. The port talks were informative and helpful, so that we were ready for the next days excursions. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. This was our first ocean cruise with Viking, and I just want to say, VIKING DOES IT RIGHT!!

Cabin Review

Cabin Explorer Suite

Let me begin by saying, we were upgraded to this room. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Viking!! This is a wonderful suite!! We saw beautiful sunsets and sunrises, and spectacular scenery all seen from the veranda of this suite. Laundry, room service, stocked mini frig, snacks, robes, slippers, double sinks in the bathroom, very large shower, and tub, were all included with this suite. This suite is definitely worth the splurge.

Port Reviews

Bergen

Amazing views from the top of Mt. Ulriken

Kirkwall

Make sure to take the shuttle into town.

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Love Edinburgh! We had been there before, so just did the included city tour, but the Edinburgh Castle, and the Royal Mile are must sees.
