This was a 29 day trip in Australia and Asia. We worried about the length, but thanks to the cruise critic roll call thread, it was the best. We met many of the people we had been blogging with for the year before we left. Our excursions were planned by the cruise critic members and were the best. None except the Great Barrier Reef were from NCL. Our Meet & Mingle receptions were fun. NCL Jewel did an outstanding job catering to the cruise critic crowd. They made us feel very special and went out of their way to help us get off the ship to get to our tours even though they were not ship's tours. We had a balcony cabin 10032 that was perfect for us. There was plenty of room and storage thanks to the tips we learned from cruise critic stories. The Jewel is a mid ship size and that was perfect. Not too big and not too crowded. We saw out "friends" often. We are planning another 30 day cruise next year on the sister ship Jade. Can't wait to meet the members of that roll call.

The cabin was as expected. There was plenty of storage space and an electrical outlet by the TV and another by the dressing table. The hair dryer worked well. Although the shower was small it was nice to have an actual door instead of a curtain. Using many magnetic hooks (a cruise critic tip) made it so much easier to stay organized. Loved the balcony!
