I had always wanted to go to Alaska! For our 30th wedding anniversary we decided to do a cruise/land excursion combo and it exceeded our wildest expectations. Princess handled everything and our trip was seamless. We enjoyed the Princess lodges and the excursions available, especially the Temsco helicopter landing on a glacier excursion, that was worth every penny!! It was amazing!! Our hike in Denali National Park was filled with viewing wildlife including moose, beavers, and eagles.When we got to the ship, this also was a pleasant surprise. The cabin (a mini-suite) was spacious and the bed was super comfy. The captain was hilarious and the staff was so polite and efficient. We really enjoyed the onboard presentations, including the Iditarod puppies and the first female Iditarod winner. The food was plentiful, with many choices. We really enjoyed the Crown Grill Steakhouse for our anniversary dinner. Also, the pizza at the pool was delicious. Overall, we enjoyed every port we visited and we would love to return to Alaska someday. I would highly recommend Princess as the way to go!
