Sail Date: Feb 2018

We were invited by another couple who had already booked their cruise (we didn't know at the time it would be their honeymoon!), but the destinations we visited were very enjoyable! I am glad we booked our flight through Viking because our flight was delayed and the ship waited for us (63 people) to arrive before they set sail, thank goodness. Otherwise, we would've had to drive to Key West from Miami and find some place to sleep in order to meet the ship at the Key West Port by the next morning. The day we boarded was Superbowl Sunday and we watched the game on the big screen by the pool! It was amazing! The rooms were always clean, the hotel staff learned our names and used them since the first day! The food was excellent no matter where we ate and I didn't even gain any weight over the 5 days at sea! We purchased excursions at every port except Key West and if I had to do it over again, I would've just done the included excursions except for maybe 1 or 2. The drinks were a-plenty and they remembered my favorites! The entertainment was okay but was geared toward the older crowd (65+), the 4 of us were between 38 and 59, so something more age appropriate would've been nice, but not a huge deal. The singers always sang the same karaoke songs no matter where they were singing on the ship, so I thought they needed some new material. This cruise was limited to persons 18 years old and older. I also found the sea days were a bit boring at times as there are not a lot of activities to do on this ship besides lounging by the pool, reading or playing shuffleboard. The spa was incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed my facial and massage, although the prices are about double what I would pay back home. The fitness room was very busy in the mornings and it's small so I didn't get any workouts in while on board. We were always on schedule and the crew is definitely top notch. I loved how our room was always prepped with whatever we needed for our excursions the next day (towels, bottle water, etc.) and I loved the daily newsletters to inform you what was offered on the ship that day for entertainment and classes. The husbands took a cooking class one morning and they loved it! The chef was very informative and they cooked the meal again after we got back home and it tasted excellent. The saddest day was most certainly the last day, none of us wanted to go home! We will return for another Viking cruise one day, for sure!

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

Roomy and excellent balcony, beds were very comfortable and the bathroom is amazing. I absolutely loved the heated floors. I also loved the vanity mirror at the desk, nice touch! I loved the fresh water in the room all the time as I drink a lot of it!
