We had a wonderful cruise Viking style. Viking Sea is still relatively new and the rooms and facilities were pristine. There was a wide choice of eating options from casual buffets to fancy sit down, and the food was all good. We experienced no long lines or waits. We especially enjoyed high tea in the afternoons. The crew and staff worked hard to make us happy. The entertainment was well above what we expected from a medium sized ocean cruise ship. The shore excursions were genrally good, but on some of them we felt that we were on the bus way too long and that detracted from the experience. We enjoyed all the islands, but unfortunately we missed not being able to stop in Barbados due to high winds that prevented us entering the port. The captain did a good job keeping us comfortable on the leeward side of the islands and the staff put together a decent day of onboard entertainment... and we ate. This cruise is a great winter break with lots of sunshine, blue water, and enjoyable destinations. Many of the islanders expressed great appreciation for our visit, especially given the damage to tourism and the economy done by several major hurricaines the previous year. While we saw some of the storm damage, we did not feel our shore excursions were impacted in any signidpficsnt way. Highly recommended.
