We've always wanted to go on a world cruise (150 days) - and we had heard such wonderful things about Viking. Also, the Viking Sun was a new ship with modern electronics.

The ship was a smaller one with less than 1000 passengers, which was great for us. All the appointments on the ship were clean, new and comfortable. A goodly number of dining venues was available and all were very good. The ship planned many, many daily activities just in case the shore excursions weren't enough.

And at every port, there was always one included excursion. There were also a varied quantity of other excursions if you wanted to go in a different direction. The nice thing about the ship being smaller was that we rarely had to be tendered into port. Also, we visited ports that larger ships couldn't go to.

Cabin Review

Cabin Veranda

A bit smaller than we were hoping for, but clean, neat and well appointed.
