We spent 3 days in Rome before our Viking cruise! We chose Viking because of the size of ship and lower number of guest along with longer stays in ports. The dining was beyond excellent! The food was amazing! Our only criticism is that we were never able to get into Manfriedi’s restaurant which we would love to have gone. The staff/crew were amazingly accommodating, personable and attentive!!!! We wanted for nothing! We found all entering and leaving the ship and excursions to be well organized and managed. My absolute favorite time was the excursion to the winery Torre A Cenaia!!! The staff there made us all feel like home and were great!!! The Pitti Sangiovese was the best I’ve had and only wished I could get it in the USA. Please let the winery know they are the best and Viking made a great choice for an excursion! We will be taking more Viking cruises, both ocean and European river cruises. Next will be the Alaska cruise with Viking! Thank you for an amazing time!!!
