We were offered a great rate by Viking. It was beautiful. I would like to go again but at a different time of year. We went in the begining of March and most days it was in the high 90's with 80% humidity. The Caribbean islands are still recovering from the storms of 2017 but they are still gorgeous. We started in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a beautiful city, because the recovery process is still ongoing we could only do a walking tour; I had to opt out because the terrain was too uneven. My husband and I decided to explore the port on our own and enjoyed it very much. Viking offers a free excursion in each port and they are really nice and informative with friendly guides and beautiful towns. After the first two ports we all boarded busses for the rest of our tours.

The Viking Sun is a beautiful ship. The amenities are really nice, the food was very good and the service was excellent. I have food allergies and a special diet, and the staff, in the kitchens and the wait staff, acommodated me beautifully. All you have to do is let them know your needs and they do their best. I was very pleasurably impressed. The spa is beautiful with a variety of different acommodations, steam room, snow room, sauna, heated lounges, cold water drenching and a salt water jacuzzi pool.

Even though the weather was hot and humid we had a fabulous 10 days.
