Seeing the midnight sun from the North Cape, endless fjord vistas as the ship cruised the inland waterways, visiting the Orkney Islands and Edinburgh, and sailing up the Thames to Greenwich at dusk were all very special.

The Sea is a beautiful ship with impeccable, clean Scandanavian interior design and finishes. The cabin was excellent in its arrangement and furnishings and very comfortable. The bathroom (with heated tile floors!) was the best we've encountered in over 40 ocean and river cruises.

On board, we especially liked the frequent solo piano and small-group classical music events scheduled in different venues at convenient times. And the cultural lecturers were outstanding, covering Viking history, Norwegian geography and archeology, and the birds and animals of the north. Read more
