We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and my birthday. We had researched different cruise lines and Viking was our ultimate choice. We had gone on various other cruises and this was our first with Viking . This was the ultimate vacation/cruise . It was the best of the best. The food was wonderful, fresh and many options to choose from. We did eat at a few of the restaurants you made reservations at with no extra cost. We did not have the alcohol beverage option as you don't need it. The waiters are very good about filling up your wine glass as much as you want. And if you want a cocktail the prices are very good.

The cruise offered a free shore excursion and we did one in each port except for two that we paid extra for: Stonehenge and a trip to Paris with lunch in the Eiffel Tower. Both were well worth the extra cost.

Entertainment was excellent and fun, always something to do.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe veranda

We had a good size of cabin, plenty of room for the two of us. The bathroom was very luxurious with heated floors and a large shower. Our room was cleaned twice a day by courteous and helpful staff, replenished shampoo/condition/body wash daily. The laundry facility was around the corner, easy to use, plenty of detergent and all free.
